Kaboega - is a private game reserve in the rain shadow to the north of the Zuurberg mountains in the Somerset East district. The topography is rough with steep south and north aspect slopes, with some dry Karoo valleys between. This gives rise to a wide variety of vegetation types with elements of Cape Fynbos, Thicket and Nama Karoo vegetation. There are large populations of the rare cycads Encephalartos longifolius and Encephalartos lehmannii.
